L 'île de Beauté
The island of beauty
And we? We are on one of the most beautiful spots on the island. "The best beach in the universe”, as one of the participants fittingly described it.
Dive in, Immerse, emerge
Because life is so much less.
And so much more.
The body is the sea
The breath is the wind
We allow ourselves to be moved by nature and in doing so uncover more of our nature.
Preserving and expanding
The path to our movement site, the path to ourselves and the path into the world: all three are an adventure.
Movement and meditation
Impulses and perspectives
Dialogue and silence
Breathing with the wind.
Shining with the stars.
Flowing with the water.
Standing with the trees.
Listening with the stones.
Simple.
Daily routine
What you need to know
-
The retreat lasts from Sunday morning to Friday noon. Wednesday is a day off.
This means: arrival and departure on Saturday.
-
Travel arrangements are individual. Car and ferry; train, ferry and rental car or plane and rental car. You will be given the contacts of other participants to help you coordinate car pools.
If you arrive by ferry: Board the ferry (in Savona for example) on Friday evening or Saturday morning. On the following Saturday, you take the day or night ferry again. If you arrive by plane, the travel days are Saturdays.
-
We move for 4 to 6 hours a day. Three days in a row, then a day's break, and then another two days. We move gently and meaningfully, but we move. Please assess whether this is achievable for you.
-
Accommodation in Marina D'Oru in shared apartments. Double room or single room (and single apartment on request with surcharge) available. A double room cannot be guaranteed. Accommodation is included in the price and is organized by us.
Meals are individual/in the shared apartments. Stores and restaurants are nearby.
-
We commute between the accommodation and the campsite once a day. 15 minutes by car on an adventurous "road", 20 minutes by bike, 35 minutes jogging along the beach, a good hour's walk. Some participants have to provide cars for this. Bicycles can perhaps be rented.
-
We are outdoors in all weathers. Except during thunderstorms or heavy winds.

The program is flexible and individualized to a certain degree. It therefore also depends on the participants' abilities (and interests, potential, ...). We move gently and sensibly - no big acrobatics, no hours of jogging on the beach – unless you want to.
That said, we are on our feet for 4 to 6 hours a day. We explore our movements. We explore ourselves through movement. And we do this in a wonderful and intense nature. You can expect that all of this will challenge you and that you will sometimes move at your personal limits. And that's a good thing. It's not for nothing that the Corsica retreat has Movement Adventure in its title. It's not just about wellness, but also about getting to know your own limits and carefully expanding them.
Whether you are young or old, mega fit or in recovery, you will recharge your batteries and be transformed at the same time.
-
No. We work with movements from the RIVERS repertoire and with Integral Movement. Whether you are already practicing a method such as yoga, taiji, qigong, acrobatics, sport, dance, ... or not, you will experience yourself, your movements and your being in motion in a completely new way.
You are very welcome, whether you are a professional or a beginner. What is important is openness and a willingness to participate.
-
PLAY will continue to play an important role. After all, PLAY is anchored in the five basic principles of the retreat.
-
You can, yes. But you don't have to.
It's best to prepare yourself to be on your feet for a few hours a day. The @Home program can also be helpful.
-
The language is determined by the participants. Swiss German, German and English are possible.
-
The double rooms do of course have two single beds. However, depending on the occupancy of the apartments, a double room cannot be guaranteed. In this case, we will ask the participants who is willing to pay the extra charge for the comfort of a single room.

Corsica is a beautiful and multifaceted island. It is worth spending a few days enjoying the island before or after the retreat.
